Rebuilt West Country 34028 Eddystone represented the most modern manifestation of a Bulleid Pacific.

Although to an Ivatt LMS design and built at Crewe, 41312 was built by British Railways and spent all of its original working life on the Southern Region, one of a number of the class to do so. Over time this particular loco worked over most of the region and is no stranger to Hampshire, having been a stalwart of the Lymington Branch in the later days of steam, its last duties being shunting duties around Waterloo. So I'll call this an honourary Southern locomotive!

The only other steam engines on display/giving rides, were of the miniature railway type.
