Lucky 13?
3013 is my third-most photographed Eurostar unit. Here 3013 is accelerating past Wandsworth Road on 18th July 2000.
3013 leading 3014 towards Vauxhall on 19th October 2000 with the 13:53 service from Waterloo International to Paris.
A few moments later and the fourth vehicle of the formation (3730133), a TSO, is about to enter the platform at Vauxhall.
I caught up again with 3013 four years later, seen here stopping at Ashford International on 3rd April 2004 with the 09:10 service from Paris Gare du Nord to Waterloo International.
For the record, this is the third digital photograph of a train I took. Using the advantages of the medium many thousands have followed!
This may not be the best composed shot of a train ever taken but it does capture the atmosphere around Ashford International Station. This was actually taken on 3rd April 2004 "on the fly" whilst I was walking back to the station in increasingly murky conditions (a few moments later the heavens opened). More information follows...
